Q: Is the hotel open year-round?
A: Yes, our property is open and available for reservations throughout the year.
Q: Do you accept pets?
A: The Surf Club is not pet friendly, however, we do accept service and emotional support animals with valid documentation upon arrival.
Q: How old do I have to be to make a reservation and check-in?
A: Guests who make a reservation and plan to be the person checking in must be at least 21 years old with valid identification.
Q: Is there an elevator at the property?
A: There is not an elevator on-site, but there is a “dumbwaiter” available for all guests to utilize in transport of their luggage from the garage to room-floor.
Q: How many floors does the hotel have?
A: There are 3 levels of hotel rooms at The Surf Club.
Q: Is the hotel handicap accessible?
A: Our property is not handicap accessible to wheel chairs. If you are not handicap, but have trouble with stairs, we recommend a first floor room which requires only one flight of stairs to the room level.
Q: Does the hotel provide beach or pool towels?
A: Yes, we do have complimentary beach and pool towels available for all guests. Each room is welcome to four (4) towels per day.
Q: Does the hotel provide beach chairs or umbrellas?
A: We do not provide beach chairs or umbrellas, however, we do have coupons for all guests to purchase chairs/umbrellas from the on-beach vendor for 50% off the normal rental rate
Q: Do you provide daily housekeeping services?
A: Yes, we do provide daily housekeeping services. It is also okay if you do not want service every day of your stay.
Q: I have stayed at the hotel before and loved the room I had, can I have the same room for my next stay?
A: Specific room requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Should you like to request a specific room, please make a note when booking your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate.
Q: Do all of the rooms have views of the ocean?
A: For the best view, we recommend booking the “Direct Oceanfront” room type. Our other room types do have views of the ocean, but some may have more of a street view than others.
Q: What kind of rooms do you have and what is the difference between them?
A: Our three room types are as follows: Direct Oceanfront, Large Ocean View, and Standard Ocean View. All three room types include 1 King bed and 1 Queen sofabed, Kitchenette w/ full refrigerator, 2-burner induction stove, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, silverware, dishware and glassware. The rooms are only different based on their size and view.
Q: Do “first floor” rooms have views of the ocean?
A: Yes, our first floor starts one level off the ground which situates our hotel above the dunes allowing for perfect ocean views.
Q: Is the hotel non-smoking?
A: All of our rooms and common areas are completely non-smoking. We do provide a designated smoking area separate from common areas.
Q: Do I have to purchase a beach license or tag?
A: Entrance to the beach is free in Dewey Beach and the surrounding areas. You may only pay a fee when visiting the local state parks, depending on time of year.
